Baby Magic
So, Jules and I drove down to Louisville on Sunday night to visit Buz.....the baby woke up as soon as we got there (11:55 PM). Floria was wide awake for her visit with Uncle Jeff! Of course he loved it, you know he's got a way with the ladies! The next morning he also kept an eye on her in the second floor waiting room while we were visitng with Buz on the CCU floor and this time Floria took her nap on him.......so sweet. Jeff seemed really peaceful holding her. Babies have a magic effect on people that brings a lot of comfort - especially one this cute!

i talked to my dad this afternoon. she went down for a scheduled ct scan today (just a regular one, not becuase of a problem or anything). her nurse said she had to be sedated because she was so active this morning! they couldn't have her moving around while they were doing the scan. anyway, i think she'll be spending most of the afternoon snoozing. my dad will head back to the hospital later today to check on her. keep your fingers crossed for an improved scan!
also, the nurse yesterday (kathy...one of our favorites!) told my dad that if my mom continues to improve at this pace she could be moved to a rehab center in 7-10 days. as aunt cathy said, they're already weening her off the drain tube and respirator. kathy said she was impressed with my mom's progress and happy with her level of activity and numbers. yay mom! keep fighting....we love you!!
