and she talks again!
hi all:
another quick update! dad wanted me to post this one. he went back to the hospital to see mom tonight. he tried to stir her, started calling her name. she opened up her eyes and smiled really big at him! he asked her, "do you know who i am?" she nodded yes. he said, "say my name, say jeff." she said, "jeff." he told her, "snuggle up and get some sleep....because tomorrow we're going to work hard." she nodded yes and curled up. he said, "i love you...do you love me too?". she nodded yes and said, "i love you."
dad was so thrilled just to hear her voice and see her talk with her eyes open. after four weeks of not talking to her...what an incredible finish to the day!
i can't even believe she's talking! so amazing. mom and dad, all my love to you both. you take such good care of each other...i can only hope josh and i will grow to have the kind of marriage you do. keep your head up, mom, we all love you and think about you each and every day. we're going to get through this. i just know it!
much love to you all,

wow. this is huge. tomorrow will bring even more good news, i know.
love to you buz and jeff. like everyone else said, your love for each other is what will help her the most.
We are thrilled with this news. We have been following the updates every day and appreciate every scrap of information from Amy, Cathy, and Stephanie. Karen and Jeff you are in our thoughts and prayers every day. Our friends here who know of the accident continually ask after your condition and we are so pleased to report the amazing recovery. Keep up the good work, this was a very long ladder to the top, but you are almost there! Love you sweetheart!
Dad and Ellen just came through as anonymous, maybe we are ha ha. Just wanted to identify ourselves. I think I am doing something wrong. I'll work on it
Love you,
Ellen
This is great news! Pretty soon she will be talking up a storm! Our thoughts are with you and Karen and we are glad to read the good updates! Claudia Clark
I can just picture it- Steph, great post! Your writing and wording helped me picture Buz, so little, cozy in her bed and snuggling up to Jeff's warm voice.....I can picture her sleeping how we all sleep, like a squirrel (I'm told :) and dreaming of getting strong, and possibly her poodles! ;<). I am just thrilled!!!!!!!! I love you Buz and Jeff!!!! Love to all!

I too had many tears while reading this! I tell my friends (who are also sending out some big prayers) that if her personality can get her through this, she's all set. It pays to be strong and determined and at the same time fun loving and totally happy.
Love you Mrs. G!!
Following your daily progress.
Hang tough
LOVE,
Cousin Bruce from PA
