off the meds...and doing great!
hey all:
just a quick update. talked to dad this morning...they took mom completely off the ritalin today. she's doing great! the doctors say they always like to try taking people off the meds because they usually see improvements. sure enough, they like what they're seeing after taking mom off the ritalin. the doctors and neuropsychologists are pleased with her responses to their questions and tests. go mom!!
other than that...discharge date is still set for aug. 16th. keep the love and support going, dad will really need it in the coming weeks.
on another note...check out: positivelybuzie.pledgepage.org as many of you know, josh and i are running a triathlon in just about a month now. mom and dad were supposed to come out to boston to watch us, but obviously won't be able to do that now. instead, josh and i have decided it to DEDICATE our swim/bike/run to my mom. we're making a fundraiser out of it....raising money for my mom and dad's road to recovery as well as money for the brain injury association. check out the webpage for more details...and SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!!!

OK I tried to get the positivelybuzie.pledgepage.org but the computer kept throwing me back to the original blogspot. The message said I had an error. What did I do wrong? Hello "Finlayson/Goff" family,
This will be our first comment on line. Until I got back from seeing Amy last week, I didn't even realize we could just make comments that didn't go out to the world on the blog.
Anyway, Vincent and I have been praying for Karen and the family since her accident. Just wanted to let the family know that we think of you all the time, and will continue to pray for Karen's full recovery.
