Pecking Order

I thought I'd give a quick breakdown of the Finlayson crew, just to keep those casual aquaintences straight on all the names as this blog goes on. (We are a nickname family and it can get a little crazy at times). In order from Oldest to Youngest:

William Gladstone Finlayson III (Michigan): aka Billy, Bedu Eldest and Only boy
Patricia Kathleen Slusher (Chicago, IL; Husband Jim): aka Patty / Trish Eldest girl

Karen Zoe Goff (Indiana; Husband Jeff): aka Buz, Buzie, Buziebelle

Catherine Lynn Clegg (Indiana; Husband Chris): aka Cath, Cathy, Cathy-Lynn

Julia Margaret Finlayson (Chicago, IL; Husband John): aka Jules, Julie, Julia Buatti

Amy Eleanor Finlayson (Boston, MA; Husband Marc): aka Ames, Peanut

Baby Magic

So, Jules and I drove down to Louisville on Sunday night to visit Buz.....the baby woke up as soon as we got there (11:55 PM). Floria was wide awake for her visit with Uncle Jeff! Of course he loved it, you know he's got a way with the ladies! The next morning he also kept an eye on her in the second floor waiting room while we were visitng with Buz on the CCU floor and this time Floria took her nap on him.......so sweet. Jeff seemed really peaceful holding her. Babies have a magic effect on people that brings a lot of comfort - especially one this cute!

Lane's Graduation

A big chunk of family assembled in Indiana this past weekend for Lane's High School graduation (with quite a few honors!!!). It was a bittersweet weekend- so proud of Lane- her accomplishments, the young woman she has become and the journey she is about to make in life- but also knowing that Buzie was deeply missed by all.
